yogi 2011

Jeff “Yogi” Entenman, Service Relations Manager

 Yogi received his mechanical training at American Motorcycle Institute in Daytona “a long time ago” as he puts it! Yogi has been a part of the family business since 1975. Yogi has completed the Harley-Davidson Motor Company PHD training which is comprised of two parts: PHD In-Dealership Training and Service Training classes. The topics range from basic servicing to engine rebuilding. Yogi’s hobbies include attending Nascar races and watching sprint car racing in Knoxville, IA with his wife Laurie. He enjoys spoiling his 4 cats Ozzy, Norman (his favorite), Bailey and Dodger. (NOTE: His nickname stems from childhood and being lovable like Yogi Bear.)

Dustin Palmer

Dustin Palmer, Service Manager

Dustin purchased his first motorcycle when he was 18. He went to MMI in Florida at 20 to become a technician. He has worked at J&L since 2005 as a technician, service writer and now the Service Manager.

Michael Scott, Service Consultant

Michael is one of the newest members of the service team. He is originally from Myrtle Beach and recently graduated from MMI in Phoenix. He has a wife and two kids that he enjoys spending time with when not working. He has also graduated from the Conservatory for Recording Arts and Sciences and enjoys mixing and engineering music of all types. His dream motorcycle would either be a Dyna Wide Glide or a V-Rod Muscle. He dreams of someday taking a motorcycle tour across Europe with his wife to visit her family in Germany & Russia.

   
Lauren Remme

Lauren Remme, Service Consultant

Lauren is a Sioux Falls native.  He has been a long time customer and accepted a Service Consultant position in April of 2011.  If you can’t find Lauren at his desk he is most likely out on the golf course.  He is married with 2 sons and 2 Golden Retrievers.  Lauren dreams of one day owning a Sreamin’ Eagle Springer Softail and riding it in the Black Hills.

Todd Krantz, Technician

Todd has circulated through J&L. While working for a few years in Parts he felt his strongest asset was mechanical…so in 1998 Todd started in the J&L Service Department. Todd has completed the PHD Certification and has been through several Buell training courses. He is also the designated specialist for assembling the Lehman Trikes at J&L Harley-Davidson. (Note: Lehman trike kits are available for most Harley-Davidson® models, and do not modify the Harley® frame.) Todd enjoys his morning coffee and plays shy and quiet until you get to know him!

Ryan Miller, Technician

Ryan is the mechanical type that you want around to help with any sort of project. Plus, he will add a touch of humor to the situation. Ryan has obtained his PHD certification and Harley-Davidson training in vehicle maintenance, Big Twin Powertrain, and HD® electrical systems. Ryan enjoys spending time with his family (wife and two children and two dogs) and watching football and Nascar.

Chad Schaeffer, Technician

Chad has a great interest in all things mechanical. He attended Iowa Lakes Community College and received degrees in motorcycle mechanics, marine and small engine and auto collision technology. Chad specializes in new bike set-up and accessorizing. Chad is a Certified Motorcycle Safety Foundation instructor and is a Rider’s Edge®-New Rider Course Coach at J&L Harley-Davidson. Chad rides a 2000 Super Glide® motorcycle and enjoys hunting, fishing and restoring old vehicles.

Eric Ward, Technician

Originally from Watertown, SD, Eric traveled to MMI in Phoenix for his training, then returned home to South Dakota. His hobbies are hunting and fishing, which was a big part of why he came back. He is married and loves riding his 2002 Night Train® motorcycle.

Reis Park, Technician

Ries is from Marion, South Dakota.  He became part of the service team in June of 2010.  He likes to work on older bikes, which is why he has a 1983 FXRS, a 1979 XLS, and a 1980 XLH that keep him busy in his free time.  He also enjoys riding around on any dirt path where the weather is warm an sunny.

Nic Compton, Technician

Nic is one of the newest members of the service crew. Originally from Midland, MI, Nic studied Harley-Davidson Motorcycles, both late and early models, at the Motorcycle Mechanics Institute in Phoenix, AZ.  He loves to ride his 2004 FXSTBI Night Train whenever he has a chance.  Nic enjoys hunting, fishing and camping when he is not working.

Dave Wright, Maintenance

Dave currently lives in Sioux Falls, which he calls "the big city". He is very proud of his three children, including his son who is currently serving in Afghanistan. Dave also loves his second family, the crew at J&L, which he has been a part of for three years now. He rides a 2006 Police Special Road King and his motto is "Let the road talk to you and ride".

Seth Petron, Service Consultant Glacial Lakes Harley-Davidson

Previously a Princeton Minnesota resident, Seth Petron is now the "new guy" at Glacial Lakes Harley-Davidson. He has lots of hobbies, including hunting and tinkering with anything mechanical likes bikes or cars. He currently rides a 95 Sportster, but dreams of having a UL Flathead or XR750 dirt tracker just for fun. His favorite place to ride is on California freeways during rush hour because of the lane splitting rules. He recently graduated from MMI in Phoenix.

   
Dave Flipse

Dave Flipse, Service Technician Glacial Lakes Harley-Davidson

Dave is originally from Kalamazoo, MI. He's one of the newest team members at Glacial Lakes HD, but he's been around bikes for quite a while. He has two kids and enjoys fishing and hunting. When he's not hard at working fixing motorcycles, you can find him out riding his 91 FXR. If he could have any bike out there, it would be a 48 Panhead FLH or a 2010 FLHX. His best rides were in Arizona, Michigan, and everywhere in between!

Mitch Reidlinger, Service Technician Glacial Lakes Harley-Davidson

A new member of the Glacial Lakes team, Mitch is an outdoors-man. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and sport shooting, although you may also catch him building model cars or playing video games. He is from Sioux Falls and likes to ride anywhere with a good view. He currently rides, but dreams of having a 1947 Knucklehead.
