Meet Our Service Crew

Jeff “Yogi” Entenman, Service Manager: Yogi received his mechanical training at American Motorcycle Institute in Daytona “a long time ago” as he puts it! Yogi has been a part of the family business since 1982. Yogi has completed the Harley-Davidson Motor Company PHD training which is comprised of two parts: PHD In-Dealership Training and Service Training classes. The topics range from basic servicing to engine rebuilding topics. Yogi’s hobbies include watching Nascar and sprint car racing with his wife Laurie. He enjoys spoiling his cat “Oz”. (NOTE: His nickname stems from childhood and being lovable like Yogi Bear.)

Doug Green, Service Advisor: Doug has been part of the J&L team since 1994. He started with J&L as a Technician and has been service advisor since 2000. Doug has several years of Harley-Davidson enthusiasm and experience under his belt, including several years as a Technician in California. Doug owns a ‘95 Softail® Custom bike that he customized himself and also owns a 2004 FXR. He enjoys riding with his wife Carm.

Reed Waters, Technician: Reed is the King of New Bike Set-up! When the new motorcycles roll off the crates Reed becomes a Harley-Davidson Doctor to make sure your baby is delivered safe and sound to your specifications. This laid-back bearded big guy has years of accessorizing experience and is a wizard at the Harley-Davidson® security systems. He is PHD Certified by the Harley-Davidson Motor Company. The favorite bike that Reed owned was a 1948 Panhead. Reed enjoys fishing and collecting guns and is a great joke teller. Reed has four children.

Matt Goetz, Lead Technician: Matt joined the J&L team in 1995 and worked in the Parts Department while he was attending school at South East Technical. He received a Computer Servicing Degree and then joined the J&L Service Department. Matt has received extensive training and specializes in the Dynometer and motorcycle performance work. Through the Harley-Davidson PHD program Matt has been certified and has a great knowledge of the Harley-Davidson® electronics systems. Matt cannot get enough of Harley® bikes at work so he owns three motorcycles: a 1968 custom chopper-built by himself, a 1998 Buell® S1 and a 1999 Night Train®. He enjoys riding his motorcycles, hunting and fishing.

Todd Krantz, Technician: Todd has circulated through J&L. While working for a few years in Parts he felt his strongest asset was mechanical…so in 1998 Todd started in the J&L Service Department. Todd has completed the PHD Certification and has been through several Buell training courses. He is also the designated specialist for assembling the Lehman Trikes at J&L Harley-Davidson. (Note: Lehman trike kits are available for most Harley-Davidson® models, and do not modify the Harley® frame.) Todd enjoys his morning coffee and plays shy and quiet until you get to know him!

Ryan Miller, Technician: Ryan is the mechanical type that you want around to help with any sort of project. Plus, he will add a touch of humor to the situation. Ryan has obtained his PHD certification and Harley-Davidson training in vehicle maintenance, Big Twin Powertrain, and HD® electrical systems. Ryan enjoys spending time with his family (wife and two children and two dogs) and watching football and Nascar.

Chad Schaeffer, Technician: Chad has a great interest in all things mechanical. He attended Iowa Lakes Community College and received degrees in motorcycle mechanics, marine and small engine and auto collision technology. Chad specializes in new bike set-up and accessorizing. Chad is a Certified Motorcycle Safety Foundation instructor and is a Rider’s Edge®-New Rider Course Coach at J&L Harley-Davidson. Chad rides a 2000 Super Glide® motorcycle and enjoys hunting, fishing and restoring old vehicles.

Dustin Palmer, Technician: Dustin purchased his first motorcycle when he was 18, but has been riding on the back of a motorcycle since he was 7 years old. In his free time, he enjoys riding his 2001 Sportster® motorcycle and reading. Dustin graduated from Motorcycle Mechanics Institute in Orlando, Florida and is now a Technician at J&L.

Eric Ward, Technician: Originally from Watertown, SD, Eric is one of the newest members of the J&L Service Team. After attending MMI in Phoenix for his training, Eric returned home to South Dakota. His hobbies are hunting and fishing, which was a big part of why he came back. He is currently engaged and loves riding his 2002 Night Train® motorcycle.

Chris Szczodroski, Technician: Chris received his training at MMI in Orlando, but is originally from Little Falls, MN. He was previously an auto mechanic for more than 7 years, bringing with him a lot of great experience. When not working on bikes, Chris enjoys playing guitar and listening to music.

Dave Fahrendorf, Service Advisor: Since Dave’s induction into the J&L family in 2002, he has worked in MotorClothes® merchandise, the Service Department, and most recently is sharing his talents as a Service Consultant. Dave enjoys riding his 2004 Night Train® motorcycle in his free time.
