Sioux Falls H.O.G. Organizational Plan

MISSION STATEMENT

The Sioux Falls Harley Owners Group Chapter shall provide safe and responsible riding and social activities for the Chapter Membership. We will encourage our Chapter Membership to be involved in local chapter and other state and regional Harley Owners Group activities. Our Chapter Membership shall strive to represent the Harley Owners Group and J & L Harley Davidson in a positive and dignified manner in our communities, state and national functions.

Our mission can be boiled down to one single phrase:

Ride and Have Fun.

SPONSORING DEALER

The Sponsoring Dealership, J & L Harley Davidson, has the authority to oversee the chapter dealings and requires the chapter to follow its policies and procedures. The Sponsoring Dealership reserves the right to revoke a membership due to undesirable conduct. The Sponsoring Dealership and the Executive Officers work together to uphold the pride and positive image of the Harley Owners Group.

PLACEMENT OF EXECUTIVE OFFICERS

The Chapter Director will be a two-year term. The term shall run from January 1st to December 31st. The Assistant Director shall assume the position of Chapter Director at the end of the Chapter Director’s two-year term. The previous Chapter Director shall move into the position of Past Director and will be a resource for the new Chapter Director. A new Assistant Director will be appointed at this time and the appointment will be the responsibility of the Sponsoring Dealership and Chapter Director. The remainder of the Executive Officers will be appointed by the Sponsoring Dealership and Chapter Director.

PLACEMENT OF SECONDARY OFFICERS

The Secondary Officers and Members at Large will be appointed by a joint effort of the Sponsoring Dealership and the Chapter Director. These positions will be held for two years and will change when the new Chapter Director is installed. The Secondary Officer’s responsibilities will be to attend monthly General Board meetings, provide input on decision making on Chapter business, and help execute and uphold the policies and procedures of the Sioux Falls Harley Owners Group Chapter.
